No. HydroArmour™ is a fixed-length hose, so it does not expand or shrink when the water is turned on and off. You get a consistent hose length while still keeping the hose lightweight and flexible.

The 15m HydroArmour™ weighs approximately 1.9kg, while the 30m weighs approximately 3.4kg.

HydroArmour™ uses a specially formulated PVC inner tube supported by a protective PE layer. Together, these layers are designed to help prevent the sharp, flow-restricting kinks that can stop water moving through a hose.

Yes. Anti-kink does not mean tangle-free. Like any long hose, HydroArmour™ can still twist, loop or tangle if it is tightly coiled or pulled out while twisted.

This is most noticeable when the hose is brand new and holding factory "packaging memory." Following our 1-time first use break-in process allows the materials to relax so the hose becomes smooth and easy to handle.

Follow this simple 1-time solar break-in process:

1. Unroll Straight: Lay the hose out completely flat in direct sunlight on your lawn or driveway.
2. Pressurize: Attach it to your tap, close off the end spray nozzle, and turn the water pressure on.
3. Sun-Bake: Leave it pressurized in direct sunlight for 30–60 minutes.

The solar thermal heat combined with internal water pressure permanently relaxes the protective armor layer, erasing factory coils for smooth, kink-free watering.

For best results, avoid twisting the hose into a tight, small coil. Store it in larger loose loops or over a hose hanger, allowing any twists to work their way out as you wind it.

Yes. HydroArmour™ is designed for normal residential garden tap use and has a manufacturer-rated burst pressure of up to 300 PSI.

Yes. The woven polyester outer jacket is designed to provide added protection during everyday garden use across lawns, paths and garden areas.

As with any garden hose, avoid repeatedly dragging it across sharp metal edges, broken glass or objects that may cut or puncture the material.

HydroArmour™ includes tap fittings designed to suit common Australian outdoor tap sizes, including standard 3/4" and 1/2" threaded taps.

Yes. Two hoses can be connected using a suitable hose joiner if you need extra length.

As with any longer hose setup, water flow can vary depending on your tap pressure, total hose length and accessories used.

HydroArmour™ has a UV-resistant woven outer jacket and is designed for normal outdoor garden use.

For the longest possible product life, we recommend protecting it from prolonged extreme weather where practical and storing it out of direct sun when not being used for extended periods.

The included nozzle has 10 spray patterns, giving you different options for watering garden beds, lawns, pots and general outdoor cleaning.
